Basic Boat Licence
The quickest licence there is: half a day, no exam. Enough to take a jet ski or a small boat along the Marbella coast on your own. And from 1 October 2026, the legal minimum for renting any boat in Spain.

Two hours of theory and four hours on the water, in Puerto Banús, morning or afternoon. One morning and it's done.

Yes, that's the old nickname. The official name is Licencia de Navegación.
No. For sail you need at least the PER plus the sail endorsement.
You could, until now. Royal Decree 1188/2025 removes that exemption, and from 1 October 2026 a licence is required to rent boats up to 5 metres and 15 hp too. This is the fastest way to comply.
The licence doesn't, but the medical certificate is renewed periodically.
